The steward’s strategist for legacy-worthy properties

We help you transform your large recreational property into an enduring asset.

Your land is more than just property; it's a legacy and an asset. But only if it’s properly managed.

Actually managing the property’s potential is often a frustrating and inefficient exercise of coordinating separate brokers, foresters, and biologists. The most significant opportunities are lost in the gaps between these silos, value is left on the table, and you end up with less time to actually enjoy your property.

Private Land Management offers a different path. For over two decades, we have acted as the single, trusted partner for a select group of landowners, integrating elite-level real estate, forestry, and wildlife expertise into a unified long-term strategy.

We replace the burden of vendor management with the confidence of a master plan.

This maximizes your land's financial, recreational, and ecological value for generations to come.

Four areas of expertise. One trusted partner.

    Forestry

We treat your timber as a strategic asset. Our long-range plans integrate sustainable revenue from harvests with the creation of premier wildlife habitat, ensuring your land's total value appreciates for generations.

    Wildlife

We engineer thriving, huntable ecosystems. Our proven, hands-on strategies move beyond food plots to build sustainable, premier populations of bobwhite quail, trophy deer, turkey, and waterfowl.

    GIS mapping

We replace guesswork with precision. Our GIS maps are the foundational, data-driven blueprint for your property, informing every strategic decision you make—from financial planning to habitat management.

    Brokerage

We act as your trusted advisor in high-stakes transactions. Because we are land managers first, we understand the true, on-the-ground value of a legacy property and leverage that expertise to protect your interests, whether buying or selling.

A partner grounded in proven expertise

Our guidance is not theoretical; it's forged from over two decades of hands-on, boots-on-the-ground experience. We replace the inefficiency of managing separate vendors with a single, unified strategy. Led by the practical wisdom of our founder, Jason Hewett—a trusted leader in the land management and conservation community—we act as your single, expert partner in stewarding your property. We bring clarity to complexity and ensure your land thrives as a financial, recreational, and ecological legacy.

Who we serve

Our clients are discerning, high-net-worth individuals and families from across the country for whom land is more than just an asset; it's a legacy and a passion. They seek a trusted strategic partner, not just a vendor, to guide them in stewarding significant properties located primarily within the Southeastern United States.

We specialize in large, legacy-worthy properties where the goals often involve a sophisticated integration of financial returns, premier recreational experiences, and long-term ecological health.

While our consulting expertise is sought after nationwide, our primary focus and deepest operational experience lie within the Southeastern states:

South Carolina: As our home base, we have unparalleled experience managing the state's diverse landscapes, from historic Lowcountry plantations requiring intricate quail and waterfowl management, to valuable timber tracts across the state. We are fully licensed for forestry and brokerage services throughout South Carolina.

Georgia: We have decades of hands-on experience in Georgia, particularly within the iconic Plantation Belt, delivering elite quail management alongside disciplined forestry programs. Our expertise extends to the state's coastal sporting tracts and Piedmont timber investments. We are fully licensed for forestry and brokerage in Georgia.

North Carolina: From the mountains to the coast, we provide integrated strategies for North Carolina landowners. We have particular expertise in waterfowl habitat management for the unique coastal properties and integrated timber and wildlife plans for the Piedmont. We are licensed foresters in North Carolina.

Alabama & North Florida: We actively serve clients in Alabama, offering licensed forestry and expert wildlife consulting. We are also positioned to serve select properties in North Florida that align with our expertise in integrated timber and wildlife management.

While we have experience managing properties in states like Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, and Montana, our current focus is on delivering unparalleled service within our core Southeastern region. However, we are available for strategic consulting engagements nationwide for exceptional properties that require our unique, integrated approach.

Kind words from our clients

Jason and his team have transformed our property in a multitude of positive ways... They handle the timber management, Pinestraw contracts, hunting leases, [and] wildlife management goals... opened our woods for quail habitat and established plans for food plots, dove fields, and turkey. They have improved our revenue streams in a careful and productive way... I could not recommend Private Land Management more highly.
